Current slide not showing in presenter view

When presenting on my larger monitor, suddenly, after having worked for years, the PowerPoint presenter view is not showing the current slide on the left hand side. The block where it should be is black. It also momentarily flashes on the screen before going black. If I swap the presentation view from my larger monitor to my laptop, the current slide appears. How do I fix this? I spent about 2 hours on chat with Microsoft Support today. We scanned the system, updated everything, tried all the different Powerpoint settings and nothing worked. I have an active ticket but thought I would check here before going back to the ticket tomorrow. Thanks for any help anyone can offer. I have a paid presentation in two weeks which will be done virtually on MS Teams. Thanks!

    Hi @Teresa Luse

I suggest you open PowerPoint and click File > Options > Advanced > Display, tick box of "Disable slide show hardware graphics acceleration" option > click OK.

If it does not work, please try followings:

    • Press Win + P, try different modes for a check, such as, "Duplicate" and "Second Screen only", then switch back to "Extend".
    • Check the display scale and display resolution via going to Windows Settings > System > Display, try different settings for scale and display resolution, such as 100% and 1920*1080.
    • Continue to click "Graphics" settings, under "Choose an app to set preference," select the PowerPoint, then click "Options", select other options, such as: "Power Saving" to use the integrated GPU.
