How do I add a shared mailbox folder to Outlook for Mac?

I'm trying to share a single folder in a user's mailbox with another user. It is just under the top level (not in the inbox). I've given the user Reviewer access to the folder in question and then also given them Folder Visible rights to the top level. Then I go into Outlook (Mac) on the person who needs access and try to attach the mailbox. It just keeps telling me "Cannot open this mailbox". I know the permissions are working because they can access the folder in Outlook on the web. What is the proper procedure to open a single shared mailbox folder in Outlook for Mac?

    How did you open the shared folder in Outlook for Mac?

    On the other hand, can you open other shared mailbox in your Outlook for Mac?

    Please contact your administrator and try to change the below settings on Microsoft admin interface: https://admin.microsoft.com/:

    1. Expand "Teams & Groups"
    2. Select "Shared mailboxes"
    3. In the "Search this list" box, enter the email address or name of the affected shared mailbox.
    4. Click the name of the shared mailbox in your search results.
    5. In the pane that appears at the right side of the browser, click Edit under "Email apps."
    6. Place a checkmark in the box for "Outlook for desktop (MAPI)" User's image
    7. Save.
