Issue accessing OneDrive via network drive

Dear All,

so far I've used with full success and satisfaction OneDrive through a network mapped drive ("Z" network drive). Anyway, since some days, I can access OneDrive through "Z" but:

  • if a reach a folder of my OneDrive that contains only files, I see no files at all
  • if a reach a OneDrive folder that contains both folders and files, I see the files but I can't open none of them: e.g., I click on a "jpg" file and the Photos application remains stuck, trying to open the file without success

A friend of mine uses the same way to access OneDrive (i.e. network drive) and he is not experiencing the issue I'm facing.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

Enrico

    Hi @Enrico Carretti

You may navigate to Services (services.msc) and confirm the WebClient service is in running state.

Then open Credential Manager > go to Windows Credentials > Generic Credentials > remove credentials which is related Microsoft 365 and OneDrive.

If the issue still persists, I suggest you removed the OneDrive Mapping, and re-doing it.

Besides, turn off two-step verification with your OneDrive Microsoft account temporarily, check if it has anything to do with account security. https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/account-billing/how-to-use-two-step-verification-with-your-microsoft-account-c7910146-672f-01e9-50a0-93b4585e7eb4
