TFS: Checking in SSIS Packages and removing credentials

Our team use TFS for source control, for various objects, including SSIS packages.

Those SSIS packages will often contain personally-issued credentials used for configured DB connections, etc. which (at least) the UserId is saved, if not the password.

Is there a configuration setting in either TFS or VS that would check the package and remove all credentials upon checking in?

I suspect this would be something along the lines of a check by the server when checking in, but that is more based on a guess rather than knowledge.

I have a good working knowledge of both applications, though configurations of this kind are not something I am very cognoscente of.

Thanks in anticipation

or VS that would check the package and remove all credentials upon checking in?

In VS / SSIS package there is a property "ProtectionLevel".

Set it to "DontSaveSensitive" and credentials won't be saved within the package.
