Onedrive account login email changed and I need to use new one one, how do I transfer credentials?

Greetings,

I was using Onedrive on my laptop under an email that was used for Office 365. The email was changed due to other account conflicts, but the Office 365 account was active. I inadvertently expired in August, but I renewed it under the new email. I now can't access those files on my machine as it says I need to update my credentials. Should I just log out of the old email on onedrive and log back in with the correct credentials to get access to my drive files? Will they transfer over? I can't lose this data.
