How to link certifications from MS Learn account with previous employer to account with new employer?

I completed a lot of courses on MS Learn but these were at my former employer and under and email address that I no longer have access to. I have tried to merge the accounts (with a personal one / new employer email) but I cannot access the old email address to log in at all.
Is there any way to link with the previous account and recover my certifications? I have the PDF downloads of some of the course certificates.
