Network Credentials

I have a home network with 4 Synology NAS, a printer, a Dell Desktop, and an MSI laptop running Windows 11 Pro latest update on all. On the Dell, everything appears in the network pane of File Explorer most of the time, except for the Dell, which does not appear at all, and the MSI, which sometimes appears and sometimes doesn't. When the MSI does appear, the shared folders sometimes appear and are accessible. However, most of the time Windows insists on having a username and password entered, which I cannot do because there aren't any. I have checked the Credentials Manager and verified that it shows the existence of no credentials for the MSI laptop.

On the MSI, the network pane in File Explorer shows neither computer, while showing everything else.

The intermittent nature of the Network Credentials dialog box is very annoying. I can work around it by going through a folder on one of the Synology servers.

Can anyone help?

    Hello,

Here are some possible steps and suggestions to address this issue:

Make sure all four devices are connected to the same local area network (LAN) and that the network connection is stable.

Make sure that the Settings for sharing are enabled on all four devices.

Make sure there are no security devices/settings in the network that are not preventing network sharing.

In addition, I recommend mapping other devices as network drives on Dell and MSI.
