Based on your question description we understand that you want to disable the device in Azure.

To perform the device disable you must have the necessary permissions.

If you want to disable the device in Azure, Search for the Microsoft Entra ID

Select the Devices and click on All Devices from the left side blade.

select the checkmark next to the device > Disable in the Azure portal.

There are several reasons why a device could be disabled without admin doing it. It could possibly be as a result of Conditional Access, Security Policies or Inactive Devices Cleanup__.__ If a device becomes non-compliant e.g., missing security patches, outdated OS version entra can enforce policies that disable the device to prevent it from accessing resources.
