Hello
Please i need your help on this issue.
Lost all contacts and sent email on Outlook from 5/25/24 to 8/30/24. Possible One Drive Sync issue which was turned off.
Screen shot below shows that my One Drive is syncing my PST folders even though the One Drive syncing was turned off.
I believe this new 8/30/24 One Drive syncing is the root cause of all my contacts, sent mail from 5/25/24 to 8/30/24, as well as my July 2024 Inbox emails being deleted from Outlook.
I confirmed today with my email provider that the outlook settings for POP are correct and are not set up with IMAP.

Hello, @IniobongNkanga-8038,
Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A platform!
Based on your description, I understand that you lost all your contacts and emails sent on Outlook from May 25 to August 30 after using OneDrive Sync with the August 30 update.
As JR K Yoshikawa said, you can get back your lost contacts and emails due to updating OneDrive Sync by making copy of PST Files and attaching them to Outlook. I just wanted to provide you with methods to synchronize PST files to Outlook and manage PST files.
You can use the import function to import an existing PST file into Outlook client. For more details, you can refer to this document: Import email, contacts, and calendar from an Outlook .pst file - Microsoft Support. In addition, to learn how to manage PST files, you can refer to this document: How to manage .pst files in Microsoft Outlook | Microsoft Learn.
Also, to minimize the occurrence of such issues, please avoid placing PST files associate with Outlook on OneDrive Sync location. As an alternative, you can save them on your local hard disk.
