We purchased domain and Microsoft 365 a year ago from Godaddy. 2 months ago, we got approved for Microsoft startup founder hub. I tried to redeem Azure credit, but it wouldn't allow me because the account is hosted on Godaddy, not Microsoft. I contacted Godaddy for help and they were able to help with the account cancellation but also warned that I cannot create a new Microsoft account after it's removed from Godaddy cuz technically we have an 'entity' under the Microsoft startup program, and free credits are assigned under this 'entity'. if I create a brand new Microsoft account, the credits cannot be transferred to this new account either.

Tried to contact startup founder hub CX for weeks and no response, and couldn't find any cx from the Microsoft side to give a clear answer of necessary steps after Godaddy removed us from their side. As it's an irrevocable step from Godaddy, once we have terminated our contract, (we paid a 5-year contract), all of the services will be wiped out. If we migrate away from Godaddy, we want to know exactly the right steps on Microsoft. But it seems unclear for now.

Can someone help me? we want to utilize the startup founder program as we are deploying code and working with dev team, and it will cost a lot from our side if we give up on the amazing benefits.

thanks in advance

If you are unable to redeem Azure credits due to already purchasing Microsoft 365 from GoDaddy, you may need to cancel your current Microsoft account associated with GoDaddy and create a new one. However, it is important to note that the credits assigned to your "entity" under the Microsoft for Startups program cannot be transferred to a new account. It is recommended to contact Microsoft for Startups CX for assistance with necessary steps after canceling your current account. You can also refer to the Azure Activation FAQs for troubleshooting steps related to Azure activation errors.
