Microsoft Authenticator vs Office 365

Good afternoon.

I am a domain administrator and I am migrating from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365. However, when I tried to register my domain, it occurred to me that before creating my corporate account with Google, I had registered it with Microsoft. When I tried to validate my domain in my new 365 account, I received a message that I needed to connect to the account I created in the past to remove this domain and repeat the validation process in my new account. The problem is that I even have the credentials for the old account, but there is also a Microsoft Authenticator configured that I no longer have access to.

I have already searched several Microsoft forums and also resorted to opening support tickets through my new account, which continues with the temporary domain onmicrosoft.com. These tickets have been open for almost two weeks and I simply have not received any feedback from Microsoft support.

What is frustrating me the most is that my contract with Google was about to end and because of the time it is taking for them to come up with a solution, I was forced to renew it, thus generating an extra charge that I had not anticipated, since in order to sign up for Office 365 Business, I had to pay the monthly fee.

I also have an Office 365 Personal account and the main idea was to leave the personal service and transfer everything to my business account. Just to let you know, I also removed the automatic renewal from it and the services are due to end on September 12, 2024. Therefore, if the problem persists, I will have to renew my personal account as well so as not to lose access to my office applications and my OneDrive backup.

I would be very grateful if anyone has any action I can take to solve this problem. Otherwise, I will have to cancel my Office 365 account and keep things as they are and perhaps try to get a refund of the amount paid to Microsoft, since I did not use the services contracted due to this impediment.
