Teaming of Nics in Windows 11 Pro & Mapping a network drive

I have two questions:

1, I am using windows 11 Pro, can I team two nics for load balancing and better transfer speed?

  1. I can not map my nas as I can not see the nas from my desktop but I can access the same nas from my laptop. Both laptop, desktop and the NAS – all three machines are on the same network and connected to the same switch.

What I am doing wrong and what should I do?

 Please advise.

 Regards

Dipankar

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

    To answer your question:

1.NIC Teaming is usually used for load balancing purpose. In this way it can mitigate high traffic scenario or network congestion.

2.To troubleshoot this issue, please try to reconfigure Network Discovery Settings:

A.Open Network & Internet -> Advanced network settings -> enable both Network discovery and File and printer sharing under Private networks.

    B.Run CMD command

    ipconfig /flushdns

    netsh interface IP delete arpcache

    Clear DNS and arp Cache:

    C.Run CMD command

    Telnet NAS IP 443

    to check the TCP connectivity.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.
