Can you sort columns in Procmon? Have tried logging in as user and Admin same result Clicked on header column and nothing Moved col to far left and no response.
You should be able to drag and drop (click and hold) on a column header and move it left or right. From the Options menu you can select the columns you want to display. Why would you want to sort the columns?

I can give one really good reason for wanting to sort the columns (and the reason I'm here): I want to see what the longest duration actions are.
Save the trace as a CSV file, import into Excel, sort the column there.
Yes, as I stated I can move the col. The inability to sort data makes it very difficult to get to group on the data.
Use the filter options.
Right click on a column value like PID or Process Name and select include.
You can manage that from the filter menu option. When I'm tracing something, I will normally right click on processes that don't care about (like explorer or msedge) and select exclude.
You can also use the Tools, File Summary, to see what files were accessed. Path can be sorted.
I have also found highlighting to be useful.
Thanks, a little awkward, just have to get use to it though. I can see pro and cons. Just a lot easier to have the ability to sort on columns.
I've been using procmon since the late 1990's, back before it was even procmon. It started out as 2 tools, filemon and regmon. Could be old age, but I can't remember a time when I needed to do that. I've found that the sequence of events is really important. I guess that it depends on the problem that you're trying to solve.
You can always save the events to a csv and sort that.
