Hello Experts,

We are currently in the process of planning the offboarding of multiple devices, including Windows servers, Windows 10, and others, using a local script (cmd file). However, the Microsoft documentation mentions that this method applies to up to 10 devices.

Link of Microsoft Blog: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/security/defender-endpoint/configure-endpoints-script?view=o365-worldwide#offboard-devices-using-a-local-script

Our questions are:

Do we need to download the local script again and run it for each set of 10 devices, or can we use the same script for subsequent batches?

Is the local script limited to offboarding only 10 devices, or can we extend this to cover 50-60 devices?

Your insights and guidance on this matter would be highly appreciated.

Thanks!

@Anant Bera Thank you for reaching out to us, As I understand you are looking for details on local script ( limited to offboarding only 10 devices, or can we extend this to cover 50-60 devices?

Researched on this ask related to offboarding, whether there is any limitation or not. As per this https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/security/defender-endpoint/configure-endpoints-script?view=o365-worldwide#offboard-devices-using-a-local-script limitation of the script applies to onboarding not for offboarding.

Only condition for offboarding is script/package is valid for 30 days, the same has been mentioned in the same article
