In a local Sharepoint 2013 Server, single server farm, the Workflows stopped working.

Upon review we realized that the certificates had already expired. So we try to carry out the procedure to renew them, the problem is that with the different commands that we have tried to use it sends us these errors:

Get-WFFarm

  • Certificate requested with thumbprint D21FE... not found in the certificate store LocalMachine\My
  • Even when this certificate is visible on windows console

Get-SBFarm

  • Certificate requested with thumbprint E4DD3... not found in the certificate store LocalMachine\My
  • This certificate was not found on windows console. Is missing!!!

Get-WFFarmStatus

  • Certificate requested with thumbprint E4DD3... not found in the certificate store LocalMachine\My
  • The same SBFarm certificate that is missing

There are two possible ways to update expired certificate:

1.Rollback VMAS and Server time to the moment when certificate was valid and perform PowerShell actions to update cert.

    2.Reinstall Workflow Manager
