Exchange 2016 to 2019 On-Prem arbitration mailbox fails BigFunnelTransientException

Hi,

I've moved six of the seven arbitration inboxes, the last one refuses to migrate.

I'm getting the exception "Connection to the Content Transformation Service has failed."

We had started moving inboxes to the 2019 servers, got half a dozen moved, then they started to stall on big funnel exceptions. I've moved all of the inboxes back but one. I've tried creating a new non-dag database to move the mailbox into, still no success.

Indexing is working, both search services are running.

Any help appreciated...

thanks,

Steve

    Hello @Just_Makin_A_Living

    Check if StatusDetail is "TransientFailureTarget"?

If yes, try this: setting the Microsoft Exchange Search Host Controller back to Automatic and starting it
