Migration plan for Bing search

Received an email concerning Bing search

Bing Search APIs will transition from Azure Cognitive Services to Azure Marketplace on 31 October 2023

But does not list what to do it terms of migrating existing resources.

Are the urls's changing, currently we are using https://api.cognitive.microsoft.com/bing/v5.0/images/search?
Do we need to create a new resource or will the existing ones still work?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reaching out to us. For your first question, you can identify this by checking API endpoint details, if it is cognitive endpoint then resource created under cognitive services and if they are api.bing.microsoft.com then they are new resource created under Azure marketplace.

Since you are using https://api.cognitive.microsoft.com/bing/v5.0/images/search now, you may need to change it to api.bing.microsoft.com.

As the product team guidance, endpoint and subscription key needs to be changed to new API endpoint.

Sorry for the delay, I just got the confirmation from product team, in this situation, you need to create a new resource with the endpoint - api.bing.microsoft.com under Azure marketplace by yourself.

There is no auto migration, so you need to do it manually. I am sorry for the inconvenience.
