How to convert vb6 application to vb.net with minimal effort. Could you please describe the details?

VS2008 comes with an upgrade tool to upgrade VB6 to VB.NET.

There is no easy way of doing this. VB.Net is completely different to the VB6 programming language.
If you must convert then it is probably better to completely rewrite the application.

Are you aware that you are commenting on old posts, and, you are just repeating what has already been said?
I know the question is from last year, but it is a perennial question.
I'm just trying to emphasise there is no 'minimal effort' solution. Those suggesting using an upgrade tool aren't really being helpful.
The only way to move a (non-trivial) VB6 application to a completely different language such as VB.net or C# is to rewrite.
