Hi, I'm trying to create a notification rule in Defender for endpoint. When I click on "Next" nothing happens. thoughts? User's image

I am experiencing the same issue. Attempted two browsers, private browsing and two separate accounts that are members of the Global admin role. I am unable to proceed past Next on the Notification settings windows no matter what I do.

I found the problem....Go to groups and add your account to a group called "Defender Admins". you will find the exact group name in Defender >> Settings >> Roles

For me I think it was a licencing issue, I unchecked "Microsoft Security for AI" under services.

For me i couldn't save or even update existing notifications until I unchecked the service "Microsoft Security for AI", I can only assume there is a licensing requirement or this is not activated on our tenant?

Hope this helps, but I managed to get pass the Next button by selecting less options in the Sources menu.

Now I can also select the Device Group, basically I created a group with all devices based on Operating Systems.

My answer fixed the issue. You first need to create a Device Group and select here.

Now I receive these notifications.

Hello there,

If you're using role-based access control (RBAC), recipients will only receive notifications based on the device groups that were configured in the notification rule. Users with the proper permission can only create, edit, or delete notifications that are limited to their device group management scope. Only users assigned to the Global administrator role can manage notification rules that are configured for all device groups.

The email notification includes basic information about the vulnerability event. There are also links to filtered views in the Defender Vulnerability Management Security recommendations and Weaknesses pages in the portal so you can further investigate.
