Investigate high-load processes running during the lock screen

We are using more than 1000 Windows 10 (20H2) on a virtual platform, but we are experiencing an increase in CPU usage every Friday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. So far, we have confirmed the following.

I output the top 10 usage rates every 15 seconds with PowerShell. Result “System” was the cause of the high usage rate.

There is no period of time when the usage rate rises, task registration and execution.

It turns out that the usage rate of “System” does not increase for terminals that are being operated by users. The usage rate of "System" for the lock screen terminal was increasing.

  • When unlocked, the CPU usage rate will decrease.

I tried to investigate using Process Explorer. However, I gave up because I can't get information on the lock screen.

If the process is unnecessary, we want to stop it. If it can't be stopped, I'd like to distribute the days and times.

We would like to investigate the cause of the increase in usage rate of “System Process”. I would like to know a good way to identify the cause.

We would love to hear your opinion.

Hello there If you see any High usage of the pc during the lock screen Please check if the BIOS of the system is already updated or it needs some update Please check if there are any updates pending Please monitor the pc using the safe mode Press the Windows logo key + R. Type msconfig in the Open box and then select OK. Select the Boot tab. Under Boot options, click the Safe bootcheckbox. if the issue persists please take a reset to the pc and check that and if the system was using the CPU so high it may due to the VIRUS or MALWARE Please take a reset to the pc and then check it again And see if it helps, Thank you --If the reply is helpful, please Upvote and Accept as answer--
