  3. Windows cannot load the extensible counter DLL MSOLAP$SQLM. The first four bytes (DWORD) of the Data section contains the Windows error code.
  4. The Open Procedure for service "WDSServer" in DLL "C:\Windows\system32\wdssrv.dll" failed. Performance data for this service will not be available. The first four bytes (DWORD) of the Data section contains the error code.
  5. The Open Procedure for service "WDSMC" in DLL "C:\Windows\system32\wdsmc.dll" failed. Performance data for this service will not be available. The first four bytes (DWORD) of the Data section contains the error code.

Hi. Thank you for your question and reaching out. I’d be more than happy to help you with your query

How to fix Perflib errors on Event Viewer : Event ID - 1008 and 1023

To fix Perflib errors with Event IDs 1008 and 1023, the first step is to identify which extensible counter DLL is causing the issue. This can be done by looking at the data section of the Event Viewer log for the error, which should contain the name of the DLL causing the issue.

Once you have identified the DLL, you can try re-registering it by running the command regsvr32 <dllname> in an elevated command prompt. If this does not work, you can try reinstalling the software associated with the DLL.

In some cases, the issue may be caused by a corrupt user profile, in which case you can try creating a new user profile to fix the issue.
