The error "Can't install Office on the selected update channel" typically indicates that there is a mismatch between the version of Office that you are trying to install and the update channel that is currently selected.

Here are a few things you can try to resolve the issue:

Verify that you are using the correct version of Office: Make sure that you are using the correct version of Office that is compatible with the update channel that you have selected.

Check the updates channel: Ensure that you have selected the correct update channel for your Office installation. You can check this in the Office applications by going to File > Account > Update Options.

Check if there is another version of Office installed: Make sure that there is no other version of Office already installed on your computer. If there is another version installed, you will need to remove it before you can install the version of Office you're trying to install.

Run Office as an administrator: Try running Office as an administrator by right-clicking on the Office application and selecting "Run as administrator".

Reset the Office application: Try resetting the Office application by going to File > Options > Advanced > Reset.

Run Office repair: Try running the Office repair by going to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > Select Microsoft Office > Change > Repair > Continue.

Reset Office from settings: Try resetting Office from settings by going to Settings > Apps > Apps and features > Microsoft Office > Advanced options > Reset.

Run the Microsoft Office Cleanup Tool: Try running the Microsoft Office Cleanup Tool to remove any remaining files or registry keys that might be causing the issue.

If none of these steps work, you may want to consider contacting Microsoft support for further assistance. They will be able to provide more specific guidance based on your specific situation.

I tried everything, but none worked. However, the method below worked for me, so best of luck.

    1. Open the registry editor.
    2. Go through this path: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\OfficeUpdate 3. Delete OfficeUpdate key
    3. Restart your computer (recommended)
    4. Install your Microsoft 365!
