Cannot Delete Web Links Created with Intune installed on iOS Devices

We have created a weblink for some of our sites. They were pushed out to all devices, but in some instances showed up as 2-3 generic icons. When you force press on them to bring up the options, it does not allow for deletion. We have also set it to uninstall from all Devices, still not able to remove. I've looked over several comments and question in various forums, and answers vary and none of them resolve the issue. I have removed the management profile from the device, and still unable to delete.

To clarify this issue, did you remove "all Devices" in required assignment and add "all Devices" in uninstall assignment?

If a same device is both in the required assignment and the uninstall assignment, this app will still be installed. For more details, please refre to the following article:

Found a workaround for the issue! Had a couple of Web Links stuck on my home screen for a while now, but finally found a way to remove them. I created a new Home Screen on the iPhone and added the Web Links I wanted gone to it, then I erased the home screen containing them and the system prompted me that it wouldn’t be able to add them to the App Library and hence would delete them. And just like that, they were gone =) hope it helps!

Was there any answer for this, we deleted a weblink from our list of apps without putting it to "Uninstall" first and now they are just hanging around. Shouldn't it delete if it's no longer in the MDM.

Unfortunately there is no way to remove web links if they have been deployed as REQUIRED to the IOS device. The work around is Joao Mendes Answer

I made the mistake of deleting an Intune App (web link) assignment without first setting the assignment to Uninstall. After doing that the web link was displayed but could not be deleted on end user devices. This work around provided the only solution I’ve found. Thank you.

How do you add the web links to the Home screen? Is there steps for this one please

I've added a screen shot of the setting. Yes I selected Uninstall from All Devices.

The assignment is correct. Please try to check the target app's Device install status or User install status.

Have you tried assigning the app under Uninstall and performing a sync on the device(s)?

Thanks. This actually worked for me. Way less intrusive. Only took abut 45 seconds to a minute to uninstall from the device.

I sit as an administrator for +600 iPads, all configured in Intune, and we have the same problem as many other Intune users.

In my eyes, the "solution" where we should remove the profile, and then roll it back on, is a bad and not possible soultion.

Dear Microsof, please pay this some attention!

This is a ridiculous problem to have in an MDM, this is why we have to pay for Soti. Publishing a link and being unable to update or delete it is not acceptable, I'm encountering the same thing here when asked to update links. Putting the same group in Uninstall that was in Required does not work, and wiping and re-enrolling to remove a link is not a viable solution. Please pay some attention to your product functionality.

I created a case with Microsoft support, and they informed me it's a limitation of Intune. Nothing they can do. They are looking into it.

Hi, do you have some new about this case? In our company, we also had some web applications duplicated on a few devices. We would like to know the cause and how to avoid or solve this problem. Thanks for the reply.
