I am reading this SharePoint online limits @ https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/servicedescriptions/sharepoint-online-service-description/sharepoint-online-limits but it did not mention what is the maximum size a SharePoint online document library can hold? or this is applies to the 25 TB which is the Max storage per site (site collection)?

Thanks

    @john john

    Per my knowledge and research, Microsoft dose not explicitly clarify the maximum size a SharePoint online document library. Microsoft only clarifies 25TB is the storage limit for a single site collection.

    The maximum size that a SharePoint Online document library can hold is not explicitly mentioned in the Microsoft documentation you referenced, but it is indirectly related to the maximum storage capacity per site collection. According to Microsoft's documentation, SharePoint Online can store up to 25 TB of data per site collection. This limit applies to all content within the site collection, including document libraries, lists, and other types of content.

    Therefore, the maximum size of a document library within SharePoint Online would depend on how much other content is already stored within the site collection. If the site collection has not reached its maximum storage capacity of 25 TB, then you can continue to add content to your document library until the site collection reaches its limit. However, if the site collection has already reached its storage capacity, then you may need to consider creating a new site collection or archiving some of the existing content to free up space for additional files.
